An Australian consortium wants to buy Charlton

Australian consortium is trying to buy the English club Charlton and to appoint former Liverpool player Harry Kewell for a team manager, the club owner Roland Duchatelet acknowledged. The Australians, whose name is not reported, however, are not the only ones who have an appetite for the London club, which until ten years was part of the Premier League. If the Australian businessmen manage to lose control of the club`s shares, then the current manager of the team, Carl Robinson, will be fired and Kewell will be appointed. The former midfielder is currently leading the fourth division Crawley. According to the media in England, Roland Duchatelet, who announced the club adviced by contacts with live matches for sale in December 2017, received two satisfactory offers and probably will soon accept one of them. Charlton is in ninth place in League 1 with 52 points after playing 36 games.
