Messi is number 1 for the season in the big championships, Cristiano is quite back

The CIES Football Observatory, the world`s football statistics laboratory, has made the most important players in its 2017/2018 season in the five major championships. The analysis is based on at least 1, 800 minutes (or 1440 minutes for the Bundesliga) in each of the league`s and player`s contributions to his team and his achievements.

The first one is the Barcelona star Lionel Messi, who leads to David Silva from Manchester City and Paul Dybala from Juventus. A total of six Manchester City players fall into the top 10. The algorithm shows that Messi has a score of 92. 12 out of a maximum of 100 points. David Silva is 91. 69 and the third is Dybala with 91.37. The Golden Ball winner Cristiano Ronaldo is on the 16th place.

The best-represented player in the Bundesliga is Robert Lewandowski, who is on the 10th place. This, however, shows that Bayern is a much more collective team and does not depend so much on Lewandowski as Barcelona from Messi or Manchester City by David Silva.

Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain with 21st place is the best-ranked player in the French League 1.

In the posts the best players are:at the goalkeepers Marc-André ter Stegen (Barcelona), Nicolas Otamendi (Manchester City) in the defenders, David Silva (Manchester City) at the midfielders and Lionel Messi in the attackers.

The top 100 players have the English Premier League - 30, while Bayern is the team with the most players - 11. A total of 26 clubs by sporttips have at least one player in the top 100. The youngest athletes are Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain), Houssem Aouar (Lyon), Leroy Sane (Manchester City), Malcolm (Bordeaux), Davinson Sanchez (Tottenham), Tanguy Ndombele (Lyon).
