The Netherlands took four Judo medals

The Netherlands dominated on the final analyzed by over under tips day of the individual Judo competition and took two gold and two bronze medals.

Marhinde Verkerk was the first Dutch winner, defeated Luise Malzahn from Germany in the women`s -78kg.

At the next final, men`s -100kg,Henk Grol overcame the favourite Lucas Krpalek from Czech Republic.

The Dutch Guillaume Elmont and Guusje Steenhuis also won bronzes at men`s -90kg and at women`s -78kg.

In the five weight categories took participation three ranked no.1 in the world, and all three lost.
The first looser was Audrey Tcheumeo from France in the women`s -78kg, she has been beaten at the semi-finals by Verkerk.

Next to lose was Varlam Liparteliani from Georgia at the men`s -90kg, defeated by the gold medallist Kirill Denisov from Russia. Then Krpalek fell of Grol in the -100kg.

France won six titles at the last year`s European championships, but just one in Baku.

Adam Okruashvili from Georgia was great supported by the noisy Georgian fens during the men`s +100kg, he won by ippon against the finalist Or Sasson from Israel.
