Kerber deserved her first trophy on grass

The fourth in the scheme of the tournament in Birmingham category "Premier" Angelique Kerber won the final against the No6 Karolina Pliskova from the Czech Republic with 6:7 (5), 6:3, 7:6 (4) after 2 hours and 16 minutes.

This is sixth title in the career of the German and third of the year, but first on grass. The loss prevented Pliskova to debut in the Top 10, where the 26th Angelique retaining her position.

In the first part, Kerber led with a breakthrough and came to 5:3, but Pliskova get it back and then won the set in the tiebreak.

In the second set, the two ladies exchanged breaks in the first two games, Kerber made another break for 3:1 and this time not afford to be overtaken and leveled the parts. The German served for the title at 5:3, but failed and Karolina managed to return the break to go to another tiebreak. Then wt 4:4 points, Angelique won the next three rallies and the game.

Kerber finished the game mentioned by live soccer with 34 winning hits (6 aces) and 14 winners. Pliskova made the impressive 51 winners (11 aces), but also 42 unforced errors.
